We probably booked the most amazing house in Bologna. We were 4 so we needed a big accomodation this time. The name is Isaia Garden, you may give it a try.

So we started with a lunch at Pasta Fresco Naldi, a fresh pasta venue where you will fall in love with Italian cuisine.

After dinner, you really are going to need some walk to digest the delicious pasta, you can wander around Piazza Maggiore, the center of the city. Don't miss out the Neptune Fountain.

"Neptune Fountain"

The neighbourhood called Quadrilatero, and you will see lots and lots of enoteca, wine bar, restaurants and places to hang out.

The ones that we liked are

-Osteria del Sole

-La Baita Vecchia Malga (buy some cheese and ham from here while drinking your wine)

-Vicolo Colombina

After that you can head to Asinelli Towers and Anatomical Theatre of the Archiginnasio.

Or see the best food market in the city that is called Mercato delle Erbe.

Before dinner, you can have some aperitivos at the neighborhood Ghetto Ebraico. The ones that I recommend is Camera a Sud and Medulla Vini.

In this neighborhood, for dinner you can try the L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele, the famous pizzeria.

Osteria Da Fortunata or Osteria dell'Orsa.

The cutest and hip street is Via Pescherie Vecchie, also after dinner, the student quarter is very lively. We sit at L'ortica, beautiful place to drink some Lambrusco.

The pastas you should try in Bologna are Tagliatelle al ragù and Tortellini in broth. For dessert, the best gelato in Cremeria Cavour

Important tip:

Look out for Finestrella di Via Piella where you can see the canals from a window in the wall.

Modena

We visit Modena for a day trip. Train took 35 minutes to get there.

When you are in Modena, Ferrari museum is a good idea. If you have time Pavorotti's House or a Balsamic maker can also be a second choice.

The must have lunch is in Trattoria Aldina.

You can spent some time at the Duomo and Piazza Grande.

Parma

Another daily trip is to Parma. Again with train which took 1 hour approx.

In Parma, you can visit a dairy to enjoy the cheese and ham.

Cattedrale di Parma and Teatro Farnese are the places you shouldn't miss.

You may also want to visit the Ducal Palace and the Ducal Park.

Near to the train station, don't forget to buy some local products from Salumeria Garibaldi.

The most important restaurant in Parms is Trattoria Corrieri, make a reservation before you go.

Hope you'll enjoy.
